How much will it cost to clean my house?
Getting your house cleaned is surprisingly affordable. Every house is unique, and every cleaning fee is individually based. Things that will affect the amount of your house cleaning estimate include the size of your home, number of residents, number of pets, number of bathrooms, how often you want us to clean, etc. We like to come out to see your house so we can give you a customized personal estimate. Often the first clean will cost more as we do a deep clean to get the house in shape for the regular maintenance cleanings. One time cleans are charged on an hourly basis. To get a ballpark quote click on the Custom Quote button on the main web page. You will be contacted in less than 24 business hours.

Do I have to be home when Maid to Perfection comes to clean?
This is your option. You may give us a key to your home which will be safely stored – always with “double-blind” security. Keys have numbered tags on them – no customer name. Only the owner and/or office manager can access the client key safe. Maids are given the keys for each cleaning appointment before they leave the office each day, and must turn these back in to management before they are allowed to leave the office each evening. These keys are returned to the key safe until the next cleaning appointment.

Do you guarantee a day and time for my cleaning appointment?
Maid to Perfection ordinarily guarantees a specific day for your cleaning but not a specific time – a time slot. Due to our flexible and ever-changing schedule, we are unable to commit to a specific time of day for our arrival. However, if you contact us on the day of your service, we will be glad to estimate our time of arrival. If you need a specific time guarantee, feel free to discuss this with our office. Within reason, we will do our best to reach a mutually agreeable solution.

Do I need to provide house cleaning equipment or supplies?
We provide all cleaning solutions and state-of-the-art equipment, so you never need to worry about replenishing your supply for our maids. Our chemicals and vacuums have been field tested and our employees trained to use them so we know they will work on all jobs. If you have special cleaning products you want the maids to use, please be sure to discuss this with us in advance, so that we can properly instruct the team.

What if I forget you are coming?
We need good communication between you, the cleaning people and the office. We will call 48 hours before your scheduled clean to remind you we are coming. This will allow you time to pick up clutter before your clean so the maids can do the best possible job. If you have special requests please call the office so we may note them on your work order. We would like to know any time the job was done well or if there were any issues. If we are locked out of your house we will discuss a future lock out fee.

What if I need to reschedule a clean?
We make every effort to meet our customer’s scheduling requests. If you need to reschedule an appointment, we will do all we can to accommodate you. Please give us as much notice as possible. Last minute cancellations and schedule changes prevent us from providing service to other customers and end up reducing your maid’s pay. If you repeatedly request or cancel an appointment, please understand our need to charge a $25 change fee for schedule changes requested within 24 hours of the scheduled clean. For one time clean, we will charge $50 for schedule changes requested within 48 hours.

What should I do about my security/alarm system on cleaning day?
If you have a security system, please make necessary arrangements to give Maid to Perfection access to your home on your scheduled day. Some clients establish a guest or temporary code for Maid to Perfection.

What should I do with my pets during the cleaning?
Please advise us if you have pets and provide any information regarding your pets that would be helpful for us to know. Though not a requirement, we prefer pets to be restricted from the areas we clean, to allow us to clean your home better and more efficiently. Also, we must always be concerned for our employee’s safety – so it is best to have your pet restricted.

Why should I use your company instead of hiring an individual to clean my home?
Many homeowners are not aware of their personal liability regarding work related injury and social security taxes for independent home-service workers. No need to worry, Maid to Perfection takes care of all this for you. We provide liability insurance, third party bonding, workmen’s compensation and key insurance. We run criminal background checks and pre employment drug tests on our employees before we hire them. Maid to Perfection pays all appropriate federal, state and local taxes on our personnel.

What is your guarantee?
We at Maid to Perfection believe in doing it right the first time. If there is a problem with your clean, call us within 24 hours and we will cheerfully reclean the area in question.

Do you require contracts?
No, at Maid to Perfection we do not believe in cleaning contracts. We do a consistent job and you will want to keep us as your cleaning service.

What if something is broken in my house?
We make every effort to treat your home with the greatest of care. Should an accident occur, a note would be left to inform you. We will have the item repaired or replaced if necessary. Maid to Perfection’s insurance company may need to be involved to vet a claim. We cannot be responsible for damage resulting from loose table legs, improperly secured pictures and shelves, normal wear and tear or other items beyond our control.

What type of payments do you accept?
We accept checks, all credit cards (Visa, MC, Discover and American Express), and of course cash. You are expected to pay the day of the clean unless other arrangements have been made. We will have to charge a $35 return check fee as that is what the bank charges us. We require a credit card for a one time clean.

Who do I get when I call your office?
Unlike some cleaning services Maid to Perfection is locally owned and operated. We do not use a call center. When you call us at 262-0502 you will be talking to the Richmond office. If you get our voice mail you will get a prompt callback!

Do you offer additional services?
Maid to Perfection is one of the few full service cleaning companies in the area. We can provide an occasional deep clean of your house, clean inside your oven or refrigerator, steam clean your carpets or wash your windows (inside and out). In older homes we even buff and wax hardwood floors. Call the office for the price to provide these additional services.

What holidays do you observe?
We are off on New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If you are scheduled on one of these days we will call you several weeks prior to reschedule your clean.

What is mildew and how can I get rid of it?
Mildew is a parasitic fungus. It requires moisture, warmth and a food source to exist. It reproduces itself by growing microscopic spores in enormous quantities. These spores are always present in the air and spread via normal air currents. A spore lies dormant until favorable moisture and temperature conditions occur for it to germinate. Mildew thrives in warm moist areas that have poor air circulation. In the average household, mildew is typically found in the bathrooms. The corners, cracks and crevices of the tub, shower, sink and toilet are the most common areas infected. It ranges in color from a pinkish-orange to black. Unlike some other cleaning services Maid to Perfection does use a bleach product so we can kill and clean mildew infected areas. Some areas may be stained and be unable to be cleaned. You can be sure we will have done our best to try!
